Stump Wood Carving

Stump Wood Carving
Searsport ME - August, 1998

After deciding not to pitch a tent in a rainstorm in Camden Hills State Park, we found a vacancy at a cute little motel in Searsport. Out front, a tree that had been planted by the sea Captain who had originally lived on the site had blown down. A local craftsman carved the Captains' image into the remaining stump.
