You're supposed to be able to hike up the Virgin River into the section they call the Narrows where you can literally reach out an touch both sides of the canyon walls. Unfortunately they were calling for showers and have signs posted advising against hiking the river when there is a potential for showers due to flash flooding. Anyway, this is what carved Zion Canyon. Hard to believe so much came from such a trickle. |
